These wings are inspired by my cheat meals at Buffalo Wild Wings. There are only so many wing sauces you can have when you can’t have sugar. And 80% of them are just different levels of hot.
Back when all restaurants were shut down in March, this was one of the recipes I needed to learn to keep me on track. Now just because I’m posting the recipe down below doesn’t mean I know what I’m doing or telling you what to do.
Recipe:
-chicken wings
-butter (1/2 cup)
-liquid smoke (1-1/2tsp optional)
-parmesan cheese (1/2 cup + topping)
-minced garlic (4 cloves)
-olive oil (2tbsp)
-garlic paste (2tsp)
-red pepper flakes (1/4tsp)
-parsley (1tsp)
-oregano (1tsp)
-thyme (1/2tsp)
-salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (season to taste)
Melt half a stick of butter and add liquid smoke (optional). Brush both sides with mixture. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Place into preheated oven at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. Flip after 30 minutes. Make sure they are cooked through.
For the sauce again melt the other half stick of butter and combine with the parmesan cheese. Add in red pepper flakes, parsley, oregano, thyme, and garlic paste and continue to mix. Salt and pepper to taste.
In a pan heat up olive oil and place in the garlic. If you want crispy garlic cook over high heat or lower if you want more of a blended garlic. Let cool before mixing into the rest of the parmesan garlic.
Once the wings and sauce are done toss them together or use them as a dipping sauce.
